Stuart Archibald

Artist Stuart Archibald painted watercolors re-creating the historic structures and landscapes of Old Salem from the 1950s to the 1980s. His paintings for Old Salem served to help raise the funds needed to restore and reconstruct a signficant number of buildings in the district.

  1. I have an original watercolor (8×10) by Stuard Archibald. It is marked with pencil “52 Royal de Toulouse” on the back. There is a tear at the very bottom of the picture.I am wondering if there is any interest in such a thing?? Thanks for your time!

  2. I found an original framed watercolor by Stuart Archibald. It depicts Alice Clewell Hall & is signed in pencil. The label on that back says Arts By Alexander, High Point,NC. I was curious to find out more about it. Thank you.
