Dr. Henry Shelton Miller, Jr.

Dr. Henry Shelton Miller, Jr. graduated from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in 1954 and joined the staff as a full-time instructor in internal medicine in 1960. In 1975, he started the first Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program in North Carolina with Dr. Paul Ribisl from Wake Forest University’s undergraduate campus. Dr. Miller also made a series of four exercise videos for recovering cardiac patients. The videos were the first of their kind and were produced in hopes that patients would start exercising in the privacy of their own homes.
