  1. Such a beautiful building. It’s sad this was torn down. It has a character that is so unlike anything presently standing in downtown Winston-Salem. But, that’s what progress meant back then. Get rid of the old structures to make way for the new, modern structures. Historic preservation was not near what it is today.
