  1. This is just my opinion, but I believe this picture dates earlier than 1936. My grandfather was W.R. Burke who was with WSPD from 1924-1964. I have this picture along with others that belonged to my grandfather. I’m reasonable sure W.R.Burke is on the back row, 6th from left. He looks considerably younger here than in another 1936 picture in your archives of the WSPD Detective Divison “Spider Gang” He is on back row far right of that picture. My thoughts are this picture dates around 1928-1929. To me it looks like Chief J.A.Thomas on front row to left of 3 men in plain cloths. Chief Thomas was chief from 1913-1929. I’m interested in your thoughts.
