James Thackery Diggs, Jr.

James Thackery Diggs, Jr., was a 1934 graduate of Winston-Salem Teachers College. He was stationed in Belgium during World War II. This photograph was taken about 1947. He was an art professor at the college for many years. Diggs Gallery, named for Professor Diggs, was dedicated in the fall of 1990 and is located on the lower floor of the
C. G. O’Kelly Library on campus.
