Ms. Elizabeth Morgan is preparing a patient for a dental procedure in 1948. The clinic opened in 1947 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in cooperation with the Bowman Gray School of Medicine’s Dentistry department. The dental clinic was located on the ground floor of the hospital in the old Outpatient Department and was under the direction of Dr. J Conrad Watkins, head of the school’s Department of Dentistry.
