Gordon Gray

Gordon Gray, the younger of the two sons of the late Bowman Gray, Sr. was on the original committee that made the award to Wake Forest College that created the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest College in Winston-Salem. He was joined on the committee by his mother, Mrs. Bernard, his brother, Bowman Gray, Jr., and his uncle, James A. Gray. Mr. Gray had a remarkable career. In politics, he was appointed to several positions in the Truman and Eisenhower administrations. In Winston-Salem, he published the Winston-Salem Journal.
