Main House of Graylyn Estate houses the Developmental Evaluation Unit. Graylyn Estate, a 60-room and French Norman house, was given to Bowman Gray School of Medicine in 1946. Estate was gift by Mrs. Natalie Gray Bernard which made possible the beginning of the psychiatry department at Bowman Gray School of Medicine. Facility also operated as the Graylyn Children’s Center in the 1960s.
