AirCare’s speed and capabilities of her crew is vital in saving the lives of trauma victims. The very first North Carolina Baptist Hospital’s AirCare crew members are shown in this photo. Starting from Bottom (l-r) are: Nurses Angela Sinclair; Merri Thomas; Dianne Wheaton; Karen Simpson; Susan Butler; Susan McBride; Dan Stanley; Barbara Burdette; AirCare program director and chief flight nurse Richard Snow; AirCare Medical Director and one of Bowman Gray’s emergency medicine specialists Dr. Dan Sayers; and Nurse Teresa Whitworth.
