Laundry Room supervisor

A.M. Davis, supervisor of North Carolina Baptist Hospital’s Linen Room, is shown putting away linens. When North Carlina Baptist Hospital opened in 1923, there was little money available for linens so the director of nursing, Edna Heinzerling, asked the women of Baptist churches in the community for their help in making linens. The word quickly spread and soon the hospital was receiving linens, bed gowns and more from women all over the state.
