Mr. E. Lawrence Davis III

Attorney E. Lawrence Davis III served as a third generation chairman of the Board of Trustees at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in 1981. His grandfather, Mr. Egbert L. Davis Sr., was the hospital’s first board chairman, a position he held for 18 years. Davis’ father, Mr. Egbert L. Davis Jr., served as a trustee from 1950 to 1968 and was chairman of the board from 1957-1958. Davis also served in 1980 as vice chairman of the Medical Center Board of the hospital and school.
