Bronze Chapel Medallion

At the entrance of Davis Memorial Chapel is the bronze medallion inlaid in the center of the floor. This medallion tells the story of the Chapel: the heart in the center symbolizes love and charity; the Greek lettering names Hippocrates as the founder of medical science; (from left to right) the shields represent Religion, Medical Science, Nursing Care and Knowledge; and the entwined roses symbolize love and purity.
