Two unidentified teenagers pose as volunteers during the summer for Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. In 1996, the Volunteen program had been going on for over 30 years, beginning with volunteers from the American Red Cross. Teenagers between ages 14 to 18 start applying for the program in March and commit two full days per week for the summer months if they are selected for the program.
