Student nurses stand in front of their new living quarters, a stucco duplex across the street from North Carolina Baptist Hospital. They are: (back row, L-R) Mary Elizabeth Poplin, class of 1926 and Geraldine Parrish, unknown class; (front row, L-R) Hazel Sapp, class of 1927; Verna Aldridge, class of 1926 and Marion Parks, class of 1926. The first class of nursing students graduated in 1926. The nursing school closed in 1974.
