Might have been titled or company received in 1948, but this truck is 1946/1947 Dodge 1 1/2 ton truck. 1947 was last year of this body style with headlights mounted on top of fenders,48 had headlights inside the fenders and all new design truck for Dodge – – Glascock Stove Historian / Dodge Truck Historian also –

  2. Thank you for your comment. The negative from which this print was made is dated August 1948. “New garbage truck” and the date (August 1948) was written on the negative envelope by the photographer.

  3. This photo popped up again today, so I was doing some research on it. The name on the door is from company in Greensboro. R. W. McCollum Co. was a Oil Equipment Company on South Elm Street in Greensboro, owned by Reuben W. McCollum of Reidsville NC, per 1946-53 Greensboro City Directories.
