  1. President Truman’s Plane was a DC-6 (Douglass), not a Lockheed C-121. Something is wrong; either the picture, or words.

  2. Sorry. I am no longer connected with this site, but no one else knows this, so I will reply. On the morning that President Truman flew to Winston-Salem, his normal airplane had an engine problem, so he flew in the Lockheed instead. All the info in the post is correct.
