Miss Winston-Salem Teachers College Crowned by Dr. Kenneth R. Williams

Miss Winston-Salem Teachers College, Gail Caesar, for the academic year, 1962-1963, being crowned by college president Kenneth R. Williams. Larry Womble, Student Government Association president, looks on. Womble, in 2008, as in previous years, serves as a Democratic delegate to the North Carolina General Assembly in Raleigh. Mr. Womble is Representative from the North Carolina 71st House District, which includes Forsyth County.

  1. The late Gail Caesar Anderson of Winston-Salem, NC went on to become a co-founder of The Healing Force, a performing group which traveled throughout North Carolina. And Many African countries singing, telling uplifting stories, creating workshops on The Rhythm of the Drum, jewelry-making spreading love in communities from the 1970s until her death in 2017. The co-founder of the group is Baba Joseph Anderson who still performs and co- pastors Alpha and Omega Church of Faith in Winston-Salem with Dr. Felecia Piggott-Anderson.
