  1. Hello Forsyth citizens,
    Happy New Year to all of you. I don’t know if any of you knew Connie Lerner, Miss North Carolina pictured above, but she was my aunt. This was not the last time she gave of her time and effort to help those in need.
    I write to share some bad news. My aunt, Connie Adam (née Lerner) died of cancer in July of 2005. She was 54 years old, and still as lovely as she was in the above picture. She died without an ounce of malice to anyone and never complained to the hospital staff despite her immense pain. She truly represented the very best of North Carolina.
    Thank you for putting her picture on the Web for all to see.

  2. Connie and i were schoolmates in asheville,1969. We flew to key west courtesy of our friends, cassie and vicky toppino, in their dad’s plane. We had a wonderful time. Connie is surely missed
