Tornado Damage

The tornado that ripped through Forsyth County on May 5, 1989 toppled the seven foot lighted cross on the roof of Reynolds Tower. Keeping the tradition of honoring North Carolina Baptist Hospital’s religious and cultural heritage, replacement crosses were erected on the new North Tower.
