  1. I would love to know what year South High School was founded. I’m trying to determine where my grandfather attended high school. Thank you!

  2. South High School was built in 1929 and renamed in 1940 for James A. Gray Sr. according to an article in the Twin City Sentinel, Oct. 8, 1981.

  3. South High School began as a junior high school. In 1935 it became a senior high school. There is an article about the first graduating class in the Twin City Sentinel, Sept. 1, 1980.
