Dr. Coy C. Carpenter (R), dean of Bowman Gray School of Medicine, hands a certificate to a graduate believed to be Loretta Ann Eichorn. Eichorn completed two years of college, 12 semester hours of biology, and a twelve-month course in techniques covering exfoliative cytology, graduating from the School of Cytotechnology of Bowman Gray School of Medicine and North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
