Elias Alexander Vogler

Elias Alexander Vogler (1825-1876) was the son of John Vogler and Christina Vogler nee Spach. He married Emma Antoinette Reich in 1847. Elias A. Vogler was best known as a merchant, but also served the town of Salem as an artist, justice of the peace, mayor, surveyor, and architect. He also served on various committees and was active in the Moravian Church. In 1867, Elias built a store on Main Street in Salem, where goods and wares of all kinds could be purchased.
